Fuel Cell Stack Tests

Characterization of Fuel Cell Stacks of different manufacturers

At ZBT fuel cell stacks of different manufacturers are measured and characterized within the framework of various research projects for industrial and research purposes.

The focus of these investigations not only lies in a stationery characterization based upon electrochemical parameters. Special attention is paid to the effects on the stack, brought about by the process parameters. These examinations are necessary in order to obtain reliable information about the feasibility of integration as well as the ultimate operating behaviour of the examined fuel cell stack.

15 modularly designed test facilities with modern equipment for data acquisition and analysis allow the rapid implementation of test programs for single cells and stacks. Dependendly on the current setup of the test rigs different media supply scenarios for the different load classes can be realized:
